Due to the passage of the statewide ballot proposal 18-3, all eligible and registered voters in Michigan may now request an absent voter ballot without providing a reason.

The Township Clerk also maintains a “Permanent Absent Voter List”, which means that prior to every election the voter will be mailed an Absent Voter (AV) Ballot Application. For every election Permanent Absent Voters must still complete, sign and return the AV application. If you are interested in being placed on the Clerk’s Permanent AV List, please email or call the Township Clerk.

If you are an active member of the military, a spouse or dependent of an active member of the military or an overseas U.S. citizen and would like further information on obtaining an absentee ballot, please click on the link to Military and Overseas Civilian Voters for further information on how to apply.

For additional information or to be added to the permanent absent voter list, follow this link to Washtenaw County’s Information for Voters web page at Washtenaw.org/voters.
