Presidential Primary Election

Polls Open 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m

On Tuesday, February 28, 2012 there will be a presidential primary election in Bridgewater Township.  There are no other issues on Bridgewater Township’s ballots. As always, you can request an Absent Voter Ballot if you are expecting to be out of the community on election day; are 60 years of age or older; are phsically disabled; because of the tenants of your religion; have been appointed an election precinct inspector in a precinct other than the precinct where you reside; or are confined in jail awaiting arraignment or trial.

You may use a pre-printed form available on the Township's website at http://twp
bridgewater.org/officials/clerk/index_html
) or send a letter requesting the AV Ballot. The law states you must: (1) give the reason for needing the Absent Voter Ballot, (2) state where you want the ballot sent, (3) sign the request (must be an original signature), and (4) date the request.  Please note for this election you must select one ballot type for the Republican Party Presidential Primary Ballot or Democratic Party Presidential Primary Ballot.  If you do not select a ballot type a ballot will not be issued to you.  Also please note the absent ballot application now requires you to answer  "Are you a United States Citizen?" 

Forward the request to Laurie Fromhart, Bridgewater Township Clerk, 12831 Hogan Rd, Clinton, MI 49236.  AV Ballots are available until 2:00 pm the Saturday preceding the election.
